Privacy Policy — Shopify POS Connector

This connector links a merchant's Shopify store to Bellwether AI LTD's footfall and conversion analytics service. It reads point-of-sale order data from the Shopify Admin API and stores a minimal set of order-level figures so we can report conversion (visitors versus purchases) back to the merchant.

What we access and store

• Order-level data: order identifier and name, processed date/time, order total, and the number of items per order.
• Product-level data (optional): product/variant id, SKU, title, quantity and price per line item, used for conversion attribution.
• Store metadata: shop domain, store name, timezone, and POS location identifiers.

We only ingest orders placed through Shopify POS. We do not collect or store payment card details. We do not require, request, or store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or shipping addresses.

How we use it

Solely to correlate in-store foot traffic with sales and produce conversion analytics for the merchant inside Bellwether AI LTD's platform. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.

Legal basis and billing

Merchants are existing customers of Bellwether AI LTD's hardware/analytics service and are billed directly by us. This app does not charge merchants and does not process payments through Shopify.

Data retention and security

Access tokens are encrypted at rest and never exposed to merchants or third parties. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Data is retained for as long as the store remains connected and is needed for analytics.

Your privacy requests

We honor Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks for every store, regardless of location:

• Data access request (customers/data_request): we compile the order data we hold about the referenced customer and make it available to the merchant.
• Customer redaction (customers/redact): we erase or irreversibly anonymize the referenced customer's data, retaining only non-identifying aggregate figures.
• Shop redaction (shop/redact): when a store uninstalls, we erase all data for that store, including cached tokens.
